Leif's doctors spent a fair amount of time discussing his treatment plan with family today. They have taken him off of the medication for his heart arythmia. They have dialed back the amount of oxygen the ventillator is providing and he is breathing more and more on his own. They took him compleletly off of the sedating medication this afternoon. As of tonight, he is wide awake and looking around. This is the beginning of the weaning process (again) to get him off the vent. The goal is to have him completely off by Wednesday if at all possible.

Prayers and support from El Paso, TX. I am so sorry to hear about Leif's health struggles. Paula sent me the web site. We may be gone but we have not forgotten. May God give you all His peace and strengthen Leif back to health!
